I figured that perhaps fiddling with a recent dishwasher find would take my mind off the run of bad luck with washers... And it did!
This is technically my first KitchenAid dishwasher - Eddie in Cape Cod found it for me and very kindly stored it for me until I could haul my sorry butt down to his place to pick it up. I got it May 1st, so I figured it was time to have a look at why this KDC5 detergent cup wouldn't spill. Took the back off and saw some rust (Evidence of water leak probably from a bad washer on the inlet hose). I tinkered with the spring and clip and... sucess!! I watched it run through a cycle and the cam tripped the cup release!! |
