at last i have videos of my zanussi in action which has now replaced the hotpoint after the dial broke as you all know, anyway, the videos are of a darks load on 40c, non colourfast cotton 40c programme d, sorry that its darks but i felt i needed to do some vids of the machine as it has been running for roughly a month now, here is the link to my youtube channel where you will find the videos.

Cheers

Cheers for the videos fella. Was interesting to see how this Zanussi tumbled on the Cottons cycle once the heating phase was finished.

I was expecting it to do the same tumbling as my Mums old Electrolux Premier from around the same era, which did long tumbles that started fast, slowed down, sped up, slowed down, sped up & then stopped before quickly going the other way, but it didnt!

Curious about this now, because Jetsystem Excel washers did the same tumbling as Mums Electrolux, but unlike them our Electrolux had no Jetsystem, so i'd have expected it to behave like your machine which also does without Jetsystem. Strange!

Anyway thanks for sharing the videos!

Liam.

Hi Phil great vids. I used to have the jetsystem xc 1400 from the same range as yours, I was really pleased with it. I sold it to the resturant were my partner used to work about 3 years ago and it's still going strong. How are you finding it compared to the Hotpoint?

Rich

well...the good to start with, the actual wash takes up roughly 3/4 of the full cycle but, the rinses are brilliant, clear water by second rinse, always does a spin after the wash on cottons and the final spin is so much better then the hotpoint because where the hotpoint did a distribute for about 1 minute then does a 15 second 500rpm spin and distributes again for a further minute then does the second 15 second 500rpm spin and drops to distribute speed and almost instantly picks up to 1000rpm for about 3 and a halfish or so mins, the zanussi does one tumble to the right then one to the left where its goes up to a 300ish rpm spin burst, then repeats that again and does 3 tumbles and a 450 rpm spin burst, drops down to distribute speed like the hotpoint but stays for 20 seconds or something then picks p to 300rpm and slowly accelerates to 450rpm then picks very quickly up to 650rpm then again to 1000rpm where it stays for 5 mins, then does 8 anti tangle tumbles. ok so now the bad, the rinses on cottons are strange because it fills to a high water level with no agitation and does not top up after unless it goes below the low water level mark, but on synthetics and wools the rinses are how i like them, fills to low water level and starts agitation until water has reached the high rinse level mark. and the fact the motor has the whine coming from it i cant decide weather i find it better or worse than the hotpoint.
