Works, but has a stuck timer as it doesn't advance past the rinse cycle. Has those neat "hooked" tines like its Waste King predecessors. $15, Cleveland.

Very Cool Dishwasher.

That is a very cool machine!
I had the chance to use one of this exact model at a friends house several times. About 20 years ago! I am getting old.
I hope that someone saves it.
It looks like it is in very good shape.
This machine really cleans!
Jimmy....Get it!

Stuck in the rinse cycle?

1- bad timer OR
2- bad thermostat.

sounds easily remedied.....

One of a kind is right, Jimmy that's why you should at least warehouse it until someone else in the club can deal with it. Especially since it's in such good shape and you (as well as Mark) know how rare this is with these).

c'mon, an early start and you'll be in Cleveland for dinner. You'll even have time to stop and admire the wares at Sea Shell City in Ignace and lunch at the Big Boy in Gaylord.

IF you get it and you find it needs parts, let me know. I have the next model down from this one, so they don't share timers, but probably share most other parts.

Salvageable?

I wonder if the timer is fixable. I remember back in April reading about someone else who had a Thermador/Waste King "steam" dishwasher who said he "blew a bit of yitka" out of the timer gears, and it worked fine thereafter (but it had previously been sticking at one point in the cycle).

Maybe this is a common Thermador thing?

yitka

Years ago something similar happened to a friend's BOL Montgomery Ward dishwasher. One day it wouldn't fill. He had a roach problem in his apartment and apparently one happened to get into th etimer adn be in the wrong place at the wrong time when the contacts for the fill valve closed. Its smashed body then insulated the contacts so no power could get through to the fill valve.

I had the Thermador timer with yitka in it. I used the term yitka to refer to unidentifiable glop. Further research indicates that it is actually a Czech female proper name. Whoops. Mom always said not to use a word until I knew what it meant. My apologies to the Yitkas of the world.
