Who thought that the benifits of a topload dishwasher would result in a professional product?

Very cool! I always liked the top loading design...they were easier for me to load/unload, and they didn't become the clutter magnet that the front loading machines did.

not a great design at all

I guess this design is far better - not a case it's more usual.
That top loading MEIKO doesn't spray from the top of the tub cause there is the lid, the "hood" design allows both upper and lower spray arms

The fact Meiko is german made does not automatically mean it's a well built product .......
Want a state-of-art commercial dishwasher made in Germany ? Get a Winterhalter http://www.winterhalter.co.uk/ or a german made Hobart. I'm sorry to say this ... but euro made hobarts leave their american sibling miles behind. Check it by yourselves here http://www.hobart-export.com (PREMAX series)
