I thought one of us bought one of these. Would like to know more about it.

I have to laugh at the wash-kido and laundry-kwon-do in that video.

I would like to see one of these in action....and that waterfall fill....this could be better than any Oasis/Cabrio out there....adjustable water levels and the rotating tub could really handle just about any load...I like it!

42 minute cycle is about double what my standard washer needs. Looks like an interesting unit, not sure I'd pay $500 for it, especially with the Haier name on it, to me that denotes cheap cheap stuff.

Aggressive Wash

Looks like it would be a pretty aggressive wash action. I guess there are only online retailers for these machines. Might be fun to have as a backup machine.

Malcolm---I know you're not a fan of Consumer Reports, but here's their take on the Haier:

Washing Performance: Very Good
Capacity: Excellent
Water Efficiency/Energy Efficiency: Good/Good
Gentleness: Fair
Resistance To Vibration: Excellent

The Haier was about mid-pack in the list of top-loaders, with a score of 64. By comparison, my Frigidaire top-loader scored a lowly 48.

It certainly has an interesting wash action!

I had a Haier....

and it didn't last 3 years without at least 12 repairs. It sucked and I'd never, ever pay a dime for one of them. If you thought that Maytag and Whirlpool were a bad combo, could you imagine if Haier bought Maytag like they wanted to?!

I wish you good luck with yours, however if history is a guide, be ready for hell.
