That's the same wash system we have in our Maytag DW. Only ours has that epoxy Armor tub. That system really cleans dishes well! |

Yes, I also believe this is a real Maytag, not a Whirlpool-designed machine. I owned one of these for a couple of years. Consider yourself lucky! The real Maytags are great cleaning machines---including tough pots/pans.
I was very skeptical of the tiered upper rack, but it became one of my favorite features of the machine. The tiered rack allows you to stand two 13" x 9" cake pans on end on the left side of the lower rack, and they'll come perfectly clean. Congratulations and many spotlessly clean, care-free loads await you! |

We put it in about a year ago when we did a remodel of the kitchen area and it included a new Maytag smooth top double oven range. |

Those marks are rust stains from washing a steel baking pan or sheet they don't hurt anything. We see these all the time inside dishwashers often people think thier machine is rusting ,they can be easily removed with a quick rub of bonami cleanser. Enjoy your new machine I liked the main pump and motor design in this better than the WP tall tub it was stronger and easier to repair. When WP first got MT they said they would keep the new factory in Tennessee and this design dishwasher but then they ended up closing the factory and this machine after a year or so. The MT tall tub DW had many problems at first MT made many improvements in it before WP got ahold of MT. But for reasons we never fully will know they deiced to just build the one TT design and went with the WPTT.
