Hi Mac, I so would love to film my Launderall, except for one small problem, I've never owned a Launderall! lol

It would be a fun machine to have sometime. I've only seen one in operation once and it leaked really bad. If I ever found one locally I would for sure restore it.

I too would love to see one work they sounded very advanced for the time. There are two club members who have one of these I don't think either work. I knew a repairman years ago that worked on these when they were new, and they had a huge number of problems getting them to work at all. I think it put them out of business, it would be a good challenge for Robert.

Sorry Robert I thought you had one.

Do you know how they got the reverse to work.. was it thru the timer or did it have 2 motors..

IIRC, it's through an incredibly complex transmission that the reversing tumbling is achieved. I also believe that this transmission was the source of most of the machine's problems.

Remember "I Love Lucy?"

Oh, I understand these Launderalls can really be disasterous (LOL!). Lucy gave her old Launderall to her neighbours after Ricky bought her a new washer and dryer. The old Launderall then acted up, spewing out all the water and clothes all over the room, causing a major falling out.
