Robert, a lot of the ads posted on CL these days are fakes. Their only purpose is to harvest email addresses from people who respond to them. No idea if that's the case here, but it's a good idea to steer clear of ads that don't list a phone# or any other contact info for the seller beside an anonymous email address.

I responded to the email on craigslist and got some generic email back from "Big Mike" with a link to some military thing (so the sender said). I just deleted it. They claimed that they had an overwhelming response to the post. Hard to believe that here in such a small community...

I suspect that their "overwhelming response" comes from mostly non-washer people looking for a washer or dryer cheap.
