I gave my 5 years old gorenje to my mother because her Candy from 1992 no longer works. Now I have an old gorenje PEA from 1971 which has been fixed and restored by a friend of mine. He made a great job! With my help of course but a big thank goes to him.
Ingemar

A very smart looking machine, and in such good condition, I like the soap compartments on the top.
Very nice

Hello Ingemar, well what a change, the restoration is great, was this the one with the damaged door??

What does PEA stand for?? and is this hot & cold fill & what spin speed??

Have just sold three new Gorenje`s then clicked on here for a break and saw this thread, would be interested in hearing about the new machine given to your mother over in blue forum some time!!!

IIRC we saw this machine before, right? I remember that Zanussie door and circle around the door, just like the Zanussi my grandmother had. IIRC you told that this machine was made in Poland? Or am I wrong?

Hello guys,
PEA is only a name of a line of home appliances made by gorenje in the '70.
It's a only cold fill washer with a spin speed of only 380 rpm.
I bought a spin dryer so I can use the dryer I have. It would be impossible to put into the dryer a load so wet :)

You can learn something about my previous gorenje washer on the first thread I've posted, but unfortunately now I can't fint it.
What a coincidence you have just sold three gorenje machines :))

Hello Louis,
yes we saw this machine befor in the thread below. No it's not made in Poland, it was made in Yugoslavia under the licence of the italian Zanussi (REX).
The Polar washers were made in Poland and were made under this gorenje licence.

PEA Washer.

Hi Ingemar.

Thank you for posting some photos of your PEA. I love the look of this machine. You have certainly done a grand job in restoring this machine

Regards

Paul

This was at work today, it is the first Gorenje i have ever seen in the flesh, i do not know what was wrong with it other than the door handle was missing.

I thought i would put it on this thread as Ingemar owned one simular to this

Hello Gary :)
yes this washer is virtually the same as mine. The only difference is that this one has a capacity of 6 kg, mine was 4,5 kg and this one has the outer tube made of carbotech, mine was made of steel. Thank you for posting.
Ingemar
