Checkrate/Likes hello to all aw members right i know that i am planing way in advance but i would like to have some info on this top loading maytag washer with agitator as i am thinking of getting this particular model as my next washer with the matching dryer and i am also thiking of recomending this washer model to my brother and is girl friend as well all info welcome and if any aw members have this model i would love to see a vid of this particular washer in action Please thank you very much CLICK HERE TO GO TO pierreandreply4's LINK

Checkrate/Likes I didn't have the model you have pictured above but i did have the MVWC300VW which is a bol version of the above model and it preformed realy good. I simply got rid of it cause i finaly found a belt drive kenmore and a center dial maytag from 1979. the dryer worked realy good too and it was the MEDC400VW.

Checkrate/Likes *center dial maytag* I am a new member. I have a cleaning service type thing. A client and friends of mine got this machine. They live out of the area and only come in on week ends. I was there for the delivery. I did not know that they do not even come with inlet hoses any more. I do not like the washer all that much.. It decides how much water it uses. You can not set wash time,just light,normal,or heavy settings. The water temp. is strange also,eve on a hot fill the hot and cold water valves keep opening and closing. Just my opinion...jim

Checkrate/Likes *I have this model...* MVWC6ESWW Same machine minus the window lid. I bought it last November at Home Depot for $299. I then ordered the window lid and replaced the solid lid. The window lid is a definite advantage in learning to use this machine. It allows you to learn proper dosing of detergent for different wash loads, since the machine controls the water volume. If you open the lid after it senses the load, it will automatically fill to the highest level. The "normal" cycle is probably the stingiest with water. But I think it was Glenn - Dadoes that pointed out recently that this cycle is the one used for testing by Consumer Reports and Energy Star so that makes sense. The few times that I used this cycle and felt that it needed more water, I should have selected a different cycle. You have to pay attention and learn as you go. The "casual" and "heavy duty" cycles seem to fill to higher levels. There is a setting for "comforters and bedding" that fills to the top. One thing I was surprised and pleased about...the setting for "hot" water is tap hot water. My water heater is set at about 130F to 140F and this machine does not temper it with cold. There is also a setting for "tap cold". All rinses are "cold". All told, I like this machine. The window should be a standard feature. The one thing that I would add would be a timed bleach dispenser, since you really shouldn't open the lid after the cycle starts, but I don't use it too often so it's not a big problem. Like any new advanced tech machine, this has a learning curve. Proper sorting, loading, and dosing of detergent make this a good machine IMHO. If I'm in the mood for more washday drama, I can use my Frigidaire 1-18 or my Hoover Deluxe Twinny.LOL Bill

Checkrate/Likes *MT DD WASHER* Its a good machine over all but buy it fast if you want one all direct drive machines are slated to be gone this year, many models are already gone.
