For sale on Craigslist San Francisco is a 1977 Frigidaire Custom Deluxe washer in White for sale for $20.00. Owner bought a new washer and is getting rid of the working washer. I have a 1976 similar model and have been searching for an Unimatic for what's left of my limited space at home. Her name is Lena and can be reached at (650) 290-1235. San Mateo is about 20 miles south of San Francisco. The Craigslist posting ad is 1918939556.

Sorry but I do not know how to link the Craigslist ad to this post. Can someone advise this computer challenged person. Thanks

James, if you know how to copy and paste, that's all you need to do. Go to the top of the window and copy the "http:// etc" info and then come back here to Imperial, start a post this thread, and paste the information into the "URL Link to share" field.

Hit "preview" and you should see the link, and if you want you can click on it to make sure it's taking people to the right place, then if all is well, post it.

Lena is selling an"electric" washer for 20 bucks. Lots of Laughter.

Not a unimatic, but a mint, problem-free 1-18. A very lucky day for someone in the know.

Uplift to see people helping each other. T'anks.

I have the 1976 version of this machine in harvest gold. In fact I'm using it right now to wash some rugs. A very good machine with a huge capacity! I was lucky enough to get mine for $25 INCLUDING DELIVERY. Only problem was mice had lived in it for some time so it STUNK and was quite dirty inside. The only rust was a couple of the cabinet screws. Once those were cut off with a dremel tool I was able to get inside, scrubs the base and cabinet clean, and did my best with cleaning the pump and mechanism. Mice will poop anywhere that is a flat surface. That is for sure! Anywho, it's very clean and the smell is virtually gone now. So if this machine is actually clean then someone WILL be very lucky to grab it!

Jon

I also have the exact 1976 machine in harvest gold. The front panel on mine has a lot of rust from being outside in the patio.

The ad has been deleted by the author. I hope that means a (local) member snagged it.
