Wow! Lots of cool new stuff on its way!!

The new Supertronic touchscreen Washing Machine and Dryer with Steam and Auto-Dos looks really cool. Especially the auto dosing powder!

Interesting how they say the Steam Generator is maintenance free, doesn't require de-scaling and still subscribes to Miele's 20yr promise. I thought they would struggle to do that. Since i live in a very hard water area its good to know the steam generator wont break after a few years, like our kettles and irons do.

I wonder if their are any new fabric cycles on them!

Those DO look NICE!
Love the rugged look of the hinge and latch.
But would want the dryer with it's own controls for side by side use.
Like the dials instead of the current all buttons.

George

Actually each unit has a dial and 4 "quick-programming" buttons :

As for units with their own ctrls check here

Hmm. Would love to have these but I bet these machines cannot run under standard U.S.A. residential electric service.

Pity gas-heated versions aren' t available in the US

Here they're available since the 10Kg/23 lbs model PW 6101
They would "walk around" the electric load issue, as they just have a 2300 W total load (the same of my small 24" 11 lbs miele). As for comparison, this is the electric version for the northamerican market If you click on "pro controller" you can also read a better explanation of ctrls than mine :)

As the US versions of Little Giants run @ 2AC 208 V 4000 W or 240 V 5000 W, I guess a machine with a 2300 W motor can be customized to 2AC too

anyway they're darn dear !!

Love the Octoplus-sized stack!! Wonder if they are ever going to bring these to the US? The PW6080 hasn't made it here near as I can tell...not that I can afford one.

Saw the autoDos with Steam Care washer and matching Supertronic dryer yesterday. They look very nice and have lots of options. BUT: the washer is 2500€ / $3200 and the dryer 2000€ / $2600.

Have recorded 45 minutes of full HD video and will post it some time later this week.

That' s a crazy price !

If I spend all that money on a washer, I' d rather buy the Little Giant PW 6065, that is available on line for round 2800 € and it is a professional/commercial unit.

Everything is customizable and are available many cycles that residential models don't offer

IMHO the Supertronics are made for actual hi-tech superfreaks.
Nobody else still makes such high end "fashionable" washers and dryers : BSH gave up the Siemens IQ series, AEG gave up the Lavalogics that were hard to sell. Average customers rather invest their money in a "fashionable" touchscreen oven and/or dishwasher (as la Perla) that are visible, than on a "fashion" washer that can't be "showed off" cause it's hidden in the laundry room

Still Jealous

I'm still aggravated by the fact these new machines may never make it to American soil. Damn it to hell!
