Nice washer, but I live in Texas.

That's no magic clean.

Good observation!! I got this machine ~2004. I have not used it very much. I added the splash guard with that filter, because the machine was boring without it. The FS dispenser came with this machine. This is the only machine that I have seen with this. Yes, it is a very nice machine, but now I have 3 Whirlpool BD's. It is either this machine or my Maytag commercial neptune.

I don't think LA5700XKN0 is the right model number.  Per a parts lookup, LA5700XK is standard capacity and has rotary temp control.

LA7500XKN0, maybe?

But how to get to OH lol. That is similar to what my grandmother had. That started everything for me.

I remember that FS dispenser. It was the neatest thing, but it took up so much space, it was hard to load the clothes with it on. My mom would throw a fit it we took it off.

Waiting.

If it becomes parts, I'd be interested in a few. I'm waiting, however, because I hate parting out machines when they could be made usable.

Agitator.

If it comes down to parting, I'll take the agitator, maybe the tubs, and the centerpost.

Dave

BrianL,
Are you interested?

Parting this machine out means that I would have to do extra work + shipping the parts + more time need to do it = not possible now. It will either go to a good home, or to my junk man.

You can count me in for the entire machine. I would love to have a working Imperial. It can take place of my working Supreme next to my 60's RCA Whirlpool. I can then give the Supreme a rest and then deal with the "well abused" Supreme in the garage which looks like it's gonna need to be parted :( Too far gone unfortunately.

Hey Dave & Martin

brianl's profile picture
If you are interested in Whirlpool parts, I have Supreme that was way too far gone to restore (inner tub has rust and I think that outer too, etc.) When I get around to breaking it down, I may be able to send a few parts your way. Mine does not have the waterfall filter though. My Supreme in the basement works great, but this one was left out in the winter for a couple months and was very abused so I gotta call my losses on it.

Agi.

I would love to have a Whirlpool agitator to play with. I have regular capacity tall-centerpost Kenmores and large capacity short-centerpost Kenmores. I would love to compare the WP vs. the Kenmore equivelant in both sizes.

I get the feeling that there is some confusion here. To those who are requesting parts from me to take off this machine, please read post#462101.

Sorry Melvin

brianl's profile picture
I think I might have confused things. After mentioning that I will take the whole machine, I had mentioned to Dave and Martin that I have an old WP Supreme that will need to be parted out due to non-restore-able abuse from the previous owner. Since I noticed they showed interest before you mentioned no parting out of the WP Imperial, I was offering up parts from my abused WP Supreme. I believe that was what their posts were in reference to. Sorry about the confusion. I would like to coordinate with you through private e-mail on when and how to retrieve the machine.

Thanks,
Brian

Brian,
I can hold the machine until the weather gets cold. Also keep in mind that it is covered with a tarp, and is sitting outside. I just took it out of the shed to make room for the LRA 992 2 weeks ago.

Martin--I will have to check the condition of some of these parts as I think a lot was in crummy condition. In either case, I think I will be alright taking it apart, but thanks anyway.

Melvin--I agree totally, I would like to get it much sooner than when it gets cold. Where exactly in Ohio are you located?

Brian
