Anyone in the Quad Cities / Chicago area have an interest in helping me go get it? I'll be leaving for Mt. Carroll, IL this weekend. My new job there is a mixed blessing. I just found out they only have enough $$$ to have me there for 8 weeks. Still, that's 8 weeks to go get something neat to bring back to Cincinnati.

That's a grand looking machine, Dave. Hope you can find a way to get it. |

weight wise. A bit more than a normal washer and you can definitely tell it is a Unimatic for sure! I absolutely love this machine; it looks to be in great condition. Since it's a double-rinser, perhaps a WO-65 2? Too bad it's too far from me or for me to even help you. Did you call them Dave, you really should. For that price and look, I would jump on it real quick!

Yes its a WO-65 with two rinses, the WO-65-2 was introduced in 1952 and had Frigidaire's first overflow rinse.
I emailed the seller last night soon after Malcolm posted this, thanks Malcolm! Its by far one of the most minty WO-65s I have ever seen. I know of a certain someone who has been asking me to watch out for a machine like this, so they are going to be very happy. I just have to see how much mechanical restoration it needs and that wont happen until after the GE AW6 is finished. The seller told me that she bought this machine a few years back for $2! She was planning on using it but decided the capacity was too small so she never hooked it up. |
