Found this on a classified ads site here in Quebec. I have the link to the ad, but it is in French. According to it, the dryer is about 40 years old and works reliably and will shut off when it senses that the clothes are dry. They mentioned that the drive belt was changed recently - sounds odd, because a GE of this vintage would have had drive wheels, no?? It is paired with a modern washer but the seller will break up the set.
Anway, it may be of interest to someone!

That's my 1966 turquoise dryer & it does have a belt. Mine had set over time & would tumble, but with wet clothes in it, wouldn't, belt had stretched, put on a new one & worked fine.
