We moved into a home with a Lady Kenmore gas dryer. We now have too many washers and dryers (unless we start a collection) I'm looking to find out more about her and give her a home with someone who appreciates the built-to-last quality of these vintage appliances. Model# 1106807913W10 She still works but has some scratches and stains on the paint. The front panel reads, "Custom Soft Heat...Solid State Electronic Sensor" there's also an indicator light for lint (don't think it works) and cool down. We're in southern California. Thank you for your help. Pic included

1968

It's a 1968 top of the line model. This design is still in production (all dryers with the lint filter on top in the back right corner). This one features sensor controlled drying and an extended tumble period to prevent wrinkling after the end of the cycle. Functionally, it has the same features as a new dryer.

It's a great dryer. I hope someone comes forward to get this one,
Dave.

exceptionally nice dryer

That's the dryer I helped my Pop pick out from the sales floor and we used it into the 21st century only replacing the belt once. It is one of the most deluxe dryers ever made and was the top of the line. If it is still installed and working properly why not keep it yourself ? It is still quite serviceable too. A better dryer is hard to come by.

Tub Shots

I can tell by the insides of the tubs that the white dryer is the single-belt-drive still currently used today, while the yellow one has the older style belt-driven blower located at the top right by the lint screen.

UPDATE - I'm not going for it after all.......

revvinkevin's profile picture

I'd originally thought of picking up this dryer for Gordon, but he doesn't have a matching washer for it (can you believe it?!?! LOL). I don't have it's mate either, (and I need ANOTHER dryer like I need a hole in my head!) so it's now up for grabs again!

F.Y.I.... in an e-mail the seller said it's gas and they're asking $50 for it.

another hole in your head

There's something to be said for having another hole in your head. . .

Come Along

The grommets are great for using the bungy cord, tie downs and come alongs. You'd hate to have those valuable vintage pieces fall off the truck! It looks great!

Yes I AM going to pick it up....

However.... I am not picking it up for myself. Another member here asked me to pick it up for them.
