I was looking at the current Maytag offerings and noticed that the NEW MAYTAG BRAVOS X dryer reverse tumbles. I wonder if any other machines in the Whirlpool lineup offer the same dryer.

It seems like Whirlpool is responding to the competition. Where did you find the information about the reverse tumbling? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Reversing dryer

The feature is only listed in the video as the dryer will not be available until mid-October. Look closely at the description:

"With the Gentle-Breeze drying system, the dryer drum alternates rotation to touch the entire load."

The video also shows the dryer alternating directions.

Vantage

I was surprised to not find any information with the Vantage set to indicate the drum reversed. Seems Whirlpool marketing needs an overhaul.

Well, even if the Vantage is thuosands of dollars, they may be reserving the reverse tumble feature for Maytag only!! gotta have something unique. Just like Eugene's new Frigidaire vs. the Elux. May just be a very simply fact of life.

Thanks - I thought I was going crazy, but eventually found the part you mentioned. I may be missing something, but it seems odd that when you are looking at the dryer it has a point to click on that talks about the washer, and vice versa. I noticed that in the FL washer/dryer interactive video as well, so it seems to be on purpose, but just doesn't seem logical to me.

I hate to admit it but.................................

I really like the styling of these machines. I love the color, and the glass lid. Now about performance, that is another issue. I don't know if I could get used to seeing my clothes washed in such an un-orthodox way though.
