Now the problems........

gadgetgary's profile picture
Water leaks out around the fill for the top rack sprayer.
Going to try to put some silicone on it to see if I can stop the leak.

Sedondly

There is a rust spot in the upper left of the tub towards the rear.

Never saw rust happen there before.

Questions for the KA experts....

gadgetgary's profile picture
Is the timer in this machine the same timer that is used in the '22' series? I had to replace the timer a while back in my KUDS22 series and it was a very expensive repair.

Thanks for all your help!

Was the machine dropped on it's top? That could explain the rusted corner that looked like it smashed in.

Interesting

Normal wash in '22' series

Normal wash in '23' series

Guess the timers are NOT interchangeable.

What a disappointment.

Guess I will just use the machine for the racks.

Also, the 'please wait' light in the '23' series seems a bit silly. Would have been better to stay with the 'rinsed only' light.

Thank you Bob for your 'sharp' eye

Upon further inspection tonight, there is a dent towards the back of the machine, hence, the rust inside the tub and the leaking.

I will use it for a parts machine.

Too bad:-)

"Please Wait"

I once posted on the KA conversations page that I thought the Please Wait light was frivolous and less useful than the Rinsed Only light. Hmmm. Perhaps it was on this site.. was told that they changed it because there is a portion of the 21/22 cycle that the rinse light goes out between the final rinse and the final drain and dry and people thought the machine was finished or malfunctioning so they put that wait light so the customer would not get confused.
Still seems like a gimmick.
Why not just fix the timer cam so it works right?
