Is this circa 1976ish? There is a set here in Eureka at an appliance yard that is the same era, been toying with the idea of adding them to my collection...

That looks like the 3 speed model from 1995ish, thats when I got mine....quiet pak on these makes this machine almost silent
I just start to get a little leary when they have a washer and dryer but only selling the washer by itself, my experience is theres something wrong with it, but thats just me, beautiful otherwise.....black was the best color for these |

If memory serves, I believe there was an edition similar to this for the Fall, 1986 release of the first line of large-capacity DDs that finally replaced the BD machines. I have some 1986 or 1988 brochures that show both the washer and the dryer in detail, also in ebony. That would, surprisingly, put them at 24 years old now! They were still calling them "Kenmore Advantage" washers back then.
I am not sure what the changes would have been between the late 1986 model and the mid 90s, but based on the quantities of electronic DDs that I've seen available used, they must have been at least somewhat popular. Gordon |
