I'm trying to locate stainless steel front panels for my KitchenAid KDS-17 dishwasher. This is the last step in my kitchen remodel. Btw, I installed this as a new unit in the early 70's and other than replacing the racks once it is still performing flawlessly. I'd also like to locate a service manual either paper or PDF. Terry

Service and parts manual

Terry, I have the manuals you are asking for. I can scan them and send them to you in a pdf format. Please send your email address and I will get them scanned and sent. Of course, the parts manuals are great for disassembly and reassembly but as you are probably aware, only a few parts are still available. But this may be your best source for parts anyway.

Do you have the trim kit on the machine or the simple painted panels? If you have the trim kit, you can buy sheet stainless from a fabricator or supply house and have them cut to size. If you don't have the kit, you will have to find one or maybe a donor machine to get the kit.
A 15, 16 or 17 panel kit will fit your machine. Your panel will cover the hole in the lower panel of the 15 unit that was for the timer knob.

Hope this helps

Thanks loads Steve. Appreciate it! My email is terryleehall@gmail.com. I'd be happy to get the PDF file. I have only the painted panels. I didn't realize the trim kit could be retrofitted to my KDS-17. Would I have to drill new holes in the door to accommodate the trim pieces if I can find a kit? Gratefully, Terry
