yep that is a long stroke transmission washer. I had one of these and they are a workhorse. Great washer though basic and a FabricMatic 3 temps and 4 water levels. 3 cycles Regular, Perm Press and Delicate. No fabric softener dispenser and no bleach dispenser. Big blue tub. Nice machine.

HELICAL DRIVE MT WASHER

All MT two belt washers from 1956- 2006 are helical drive. Helical drive refers to the way the washer switches from agitate to spin not the type of transmission it has. The better question would be does it have the original style long stroke transmission or the later 1990 and on orbital transmission.
