The Maytag 606 is hooked up and running, she purrs like a kitten. The Frigidaire didn't want to do a final spin anymore, it would just tumble until the end of the cycle, then I would have unplug it, wait a few minutes, plug it back in and put on drain and spin--sometimes it would spin and sometimes it wouldn't. Now if I can just get the 806 dryer up and running.

Frankentag

Dan, I'm not sure what model it is exactly. The label on the top of the control panel says A606, and identification tag on the back is in such poor condition, that I can't read it.

I would love to get the matching dryer going which is an DG806, I had it hooked up at the old house, but I couldn't get the pilot light to ignite, and I really don't want to mess around with gas. There is a Maytag dealer in Rock Island that has been in business for many years, I might call him and see if they could fix it.

If the dryer can't be fixed I thought about getting another DG806 and switching cabinets, so I can have a harvest gold set. Would this be easy to do?

Or you could take your existing cabinet parts to an auto repair shop and have them paint them in the color you want. I think this would be a cheaper option than buying new cabinet parts.
