Hi all Would anyone have any info on THOR washers, As A kid we had a washer that I think was a THOR that was pedal operated, but I have never seen one again | ||

Hi Mike, Snap on the childhood memory..As a child we use to stay with a with a couple in Cornwall, there house was split in two to make a self-contained, self-catering house, Vera the lady who lived in the other side use to have a Thor Mk3 washer, she use to call it "the Thumper"..I use to whiz round on Monday morning to watch her use it...chunkie brown sandals swtiching the pedals between wash-stop-spin.. Many years passed and i decided to try any get hold of one of these machines, well..sucess, I have had 2, but sadly they were sent to Washer heaven..they are lovely machines, but they have one major flaw, the CLUTCH..that is what they all fail on Wonderful features...Overflow rinse, Suds saver system, any more questions let me know. Hi Mike, here is a video of Keiths Thor washing machine....type in Thor Automagic to the Searchalator and threads including Ross`s machine in Arizona, will come up ..
