Does anyone have experience removing the round cycle selector knob on an LG FL washer? It seems like it should just pull off but will not. Looking at the Sears Parts Select parts lists and diagrams it appears to be a separate part from the control panel (separate P/N, shown as separate in the diagram).
I got a great deal on a very similar LG FL with an internal heater. The new one has a different finish on the selector knob and door. I'm giving the old unit to a friend but want to try and match the dryer knob and door...swapping between machines. The door comes off really easily but the knob is not as simple. Thanks! |

You have to remove the control board from the back of the facia and then you can pull the knob off the board. I found this out when I tore apart a LG WM2010CW. Andrew |

They fixed everything I disliked in my previous LG in this one...love the internal heater. You can even check the water temperature by pressing and holding the temperature selector button during the cycle.
My old one is going to a friend in need of a washer. It looked fine in the laundry room once it was installed so I didn't end up having to do anything. |
