This part is critical to the washing performance of the DWer, without the CV air will be drawn back into the pump when the motor is reversed for washing and rinsing. This aerates the water and top rack washing will suffer, In WPs infinite wisdom this part has been NLA for several years. If you have a KA 21 or 22 you should check to be sure the CV is still functioning, you can often here a sucking noise at the end of the drain line when the machine is washing, if this is the case the CV is bad. IF THE Diaphragm is bad in yours the CVs two half's just unscrew and you can use the GE DW CV diaphragm which fits perfectly. Jim I am sure you can find a good used one for your machine just make sure that you can only blow through it one way otherwise you need a new diaphragm.
