A friend of mine's mother lives in San Antonio and has a vintage Kitchen Aid Dishwasher she wants to get rid of so I natuarlly thought of you since Bellville isn't that far from San Antonio (its drivable in a day anyway). I found a picture of a 1959 KD-12 and my friend says that it looks just like it and is in good cosmetic condition. Mechanically they are not sure of its condition but I thought you might like to get it since you are handy with tools. It is a white under the counter model that I was told is original to the house which was built in 1953. So it is at least 1959 or before...I think. If you are interested contact me at Geguy276@aol.com and I will get more info on the unit for you. PATRICK COFFEY

From what little info I could find out from my friend...I doubt it has any rust inside it as it is still in his moms kitchen and hasn't been discoinnected yet(he is going to check on that for me and I will let you know for sure)!!! Up until recently she used it as her main dishwasher but wanted a new one because she didn't like the way it washed her dishes anymore. I used the KD-12 picture just to see if my friend could give me an idea of how old it is and he said that it did look like a KD-12 but that his mom couldn't find the model number so I cannot tell you wether or not it has a pump. My friend is trying to find out more info for me as we speak and I will update you when I know more....PAT COFFEY |
