I would think that the glass/lexan on the masks would scratch or break during this wash cycle. Most definitely after a trip through the dryer (not shown).

I'm betting that was liquid Dawn he used as a detergent.

Miele has two different way to wash respirators/masks : front loader + tumbler or washer-disinfector (kinda "dishwasher")

IIRC each item has to be inserted into a protective "mesh case" before entering the FL

I wonder if these washers and dryers use enough water to wash away all the asbestos that the respirators have. I mean, you would not want any of it accumulating in the machines.
