WELCOME!

So good to have you on-board.

Englewood, NJ.... not far from Long Island, NY.

Perhaps you would like to "join" this litle northeast clique and see us in person? (I HATE that word, but que sera sera).

We'll speak I'm sure.

Again, always a pleasure to see new washer-heads manifest themselves!

Welcome Peter! We hope that this space and its inhabitants (both human and machine) will be a fun place for you where we share a fascination that not everyone is blessed with or understands. Tell us your story, please. Have you been interested in washers since childhood, like so many of us? Did you check out the washer in houses you visited? I think most of us knew the brand and, in some cases, the year or model of the washer in the houses of our friends. Did you have any interest in dryers or dishwashers at an early age? Did you look at magazines for the appliance ads? Was the washer/dryer section the most important and first read part in every new Sears catalog? When you see an ad for a "washer-dryer combination" does your chest get just a little bit tight because you know what those three words originally meant in addition to the stack things marketed now? Was a shopping trip not complete without a trip through the appliance department? Here that's par for the course; no explanations needed so share all of those things with us and again, have fun; sort of like most children had in the toy department while we were walking through the rows of appliances, hoping against hope that there would be a demo washer connected and operating that did not have a lid switch. Except now we are grown ups and there are no parents denying us a trip to see the washers and no big sales people to keep us from looking at their appliances; little knowing that the washers, dryers, dishwashers and other appliances were more important to us than they ever were to them. Best of all, here you have a chance to see and discuss and, maybe, even touch and use some of the machines that fascinated you so long ago. Welcome to a place where some dreams do come true.
