Tom, I KNEW you'd be the one to create a thread about this POD. I also remember the advertising slogan "The best cleaning Lady in town". I still miss our roto racks. Both were the model under the LK.

What exactly does "This Demonstration recreates the powerful cleaning ability of Sears Lady Kenmore Dishwasher (Certified by the National Consumer Testing Institute?"

This was the dishwasher we had from roughly 1972-1981. I loved the lighted control panel, the sliding door to cover the panel and of course the roto rack. Noisy, though. Very noisy.

I reckon they mean the cleaning ability and or demonstration
were certified. Shortly after, that ad copy writer was promoted
to director; having risen to her/his highest level of incompetence. After all, why did that cleaning ability have to be "recreated" if it was so red hot to begin with?

I was wondering.......

When I saw that (this demo recreates the powerful cleaning ability....) at the top of the ad, I was wondering....a recreation of the good job it does.......I see a plate full of spaghetti........LOL. OHHH and thanks for the POD Robert ! Always kind of thought the pictures were random, but I have noticed POD's pop up with superb timing to other peoples finds/ posts / wants / etc... The wizard behind the curtain does such a wonderful job! I love it in the emerald....oops IMPERIAL City. :)

I'll take a stab at the "demonstration recreates ..." I always thought it meant as showing a potential customer just how much a soiled plate could have on it (all those noodles times 13 to 26 dinner plates). This was still hard to comprehend back in 1969 to 1972. Even in 1984 with my PotScrubber, my mom would say, that won't get clean with it put in like that, I proved her wrong each and every time. And I, when I could sneak it by her, got pretty gunky stuff put in our rotoracks also. And the few times I could emulate the Power Wash by using the sani rinse water heat delay for hte main wash phase, cleaned damn well!! I loved pial turning and the button pushing when she wasn't around.
