Two neighborhood schools are organizing a massive salvage sale before a complete renovation. While taking inventory, we came across this gem in the old Home Ec classroom. from my best guess, it is a 1954/55 KitchenAid dishwasher. No idea if is works--but it is definitely worth saving!! The dish baskets are gone, and the cycle selection knob is off--but hiding in safety inside the dishwasher!! This is probably the coolest dishwasher I have ever seen--and would love to have someone purchase this who appreciates it, rather than the scrappers.

Pete (Rollermatic), an early KitchenAid is calling your name!

Please advise where sales are being held, and when. Thanks.

What a wealthy school district back then to include not just any dishwasher, but a KA in a home ec lab. Are the ranges gone?

If it were a 10, there would be no escutcheon around the door handle.

Access to the dishwasher

Hello!

I am so thrilled that there are so many of you who appreciate the more antique appliances!! My co-chair and I are happy to supply photos of the inside or any additional photos of the outside--just let me know. memills70@hotmail.com

Unfortunately, because the school is being used up until the sale, the administration has asked that we do not open up the facility for tours--at least not now. Also, everything will be available for purchase on April 4th--the sale begins at Noon--and we promise the prices will be steals!!

As for the GE Stove--yes, still available of course until April 4th. I am attaching a photo. I turned the oven on yesterday--and it came on! I owned a 1958 GE Range--loved that appliance--and wished I had moved it with me years ago.

Thanks, will mark my calendar and try to attend. The GE range looks pretty nice, with self-cleaning oven.

Magic Chef Addition

Hello!
We were just told we could sell the commercial kitchen as well. I know this is not a washer, dryer or dishwasher addition, but I thought you all might be interested! In one of the elementary schools, there is a vintage (top of the line?)Magic Chef stove, a Steam Chef steam cooker, and tons of stainless steel counter top tables/sinks/etc. I have the finalized flier, which breaks down what is available where, and will post this soon!
