hey all
today i got this beautiful 3 year old LG 8.5/4.2kg direct drive washer dryer. (NOT STEAM). it works, but when it washes it makes a noise but its not the motor. it sounds like a pump and i think its the water circulation pump because it doesnt spray much water out when it does. has anybody had this problem before? i'm look at replacing the watrr circulation pump

Lint?

I would suspect a lint buildup is the cause of the problem.  Examine the water path prior to replacing the pump.

Try cleaning the filter, if the problem persists then the circulating pump and/or the pipe leading to the spray maybe blocked.

Never had this problme with my LG WM12220FD which is about 4 years old now.

All the best

TOY

I would love to have one of these to play with or keep as a backup machine.   Hoping that someday an American sized 220v combo will surface once again.

thanks guys
i bought this machine mainly to use as a second dryer as i have a whirlpool heavy duty and its not really worth drying smal loads in it. and to my benefit i remembered i have a maintenance contract that i can have the machine fixed under. needs a new door boot (a small piece broke off so that is why the owner sold it) and because its been standing the drain pump takes a while to kick in.
but its an excellent machine. very energy efficient, super quiet and a very good capacity (can hold a king size duvet)
