Square motors weren't used until the 1966 WP-KM dryer came out with the fan mounted on the rear of the motor. The old round motor your dryer has may be able to be rebuilt or I have good used ones for $60. These early WP style dryers were neat machines but because of the airflow design they are a little slower than most other dryers and use about 25% more electricity than the later design, figure about 10 cents more pre load.
