HI ALL, I JUST NEED SOME ADVICE.
MY WASHER WORKS FINE DOES ALL ITS CYCLES ETC BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE LAST SPIN IT SOUNDS LIKE A JET ENGINE READY TO TAKE OFF, NO KNOCKING JUST A REALLY LOUD SPIN THAT IT DEAFENS YOU IF YOU ARE SAT IN THE KITCHEN, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE

bad bearings and it's hotpoint aquarius not hoover they never made aquarius modles only quatro and somthin else. another thing you could cheak is the feet to see if there levle. can you post a piccy so we can see what it looks like?

Well that range is commonly known for bearings going wrong etc. Which seems to be the problem here.

I call my Hoover like that... Aquarius... when it oddly adds too much water to the rinse cycle... but I understand you're talking about a real Hotpoint... well drum bearing failure and that :-P

If you're up for it (and you model hasn't got a sealed tub) you can change the bearings yourself... many videos on YouTube show how to do this... I included a link below as an example.
