I found still in the partial org. crate, in the back of the basement of a 100 yr. old+ hardware store, a dish washer insert for a wringer washer of some type. I'm looking for any information. It's brand new and really cool! Thanks, Rod

That is what I'm looking for. I just got the washer about a month ago but the last owner got rid of the dishwasher unit a long time ago :-(

Please let me know what you would like to do. If you want to keep it...no problem but if not I would be interested :-)

Thanks and welcome to AW.org!

Rich

OK, It's a THOR!

Forgive my lack of knowledge. What's a Thor? I know it's early, but I get up at 3 in the morn. I'll be back maybe around 8am. Thanks, Rod

The Thor was a semi-automatic machine that had no timer, but allowed the user to proceed from washing, to rinsing to spin dry in a single tub. It was possible to lift out the clothes washing agitator, tub & stabilizer amd replace them with the dishwashing apparatus you have. Thor assured users that no part that touched the clothes came in contact with the dishes.

Info. & video

THANK YOU ALL!!!!!! Who would think I would finally find out about the insert. I had asked all the old timers, and no one knew a thing. Living in the middle of the plains I'm sure this luxury would have come later than some and I realize some people still think the indians still run around here in the middle of Nebraska, but I thought someone local would have remembered. Anyway, thanks to Chester from England, for the cool video, and to Tom from MD for the info. I not knowing what I would do with it, would be willing for it to have a new home and one that would actuall put it to use. Call it a form of recycling. Guys, I will go into town Friday and find out what UPS would need to ship it somewhere. It weighs 28#s and 18-19in high, 21-22in across. Again guys, thanks,Rod OH Ya! I can be reached at toytimes69@hotmail.com or 308-379-120

Hi Rod,

I was just picking up the phone to call you, but realized there's one number missing. Can you please let me know the full number and I'll give you a call?

Thanks,
Rich

Just spoke with Rich. Looks like he now owns the dishwasher insert for his Thor. Congratulations!! Hopefully, since my Thor showed up a week after his, maybe another dishwasher insert will show up as well. Something tells me that asking for too much!

Anyway, can't wait to see it!

Ron
