hi folks, here is some viewing goodie from across the big pond:

Uwe, one of our most knowledgeable and best known collector friends was on German national TV channel ZDF:
He shows us round his huge collection, digs up old childhood "diagrams" made by himself, has some nice goodies in stash to show you and ponders on how relaxing and almost "Zen"-like the sound of a vintage washer can be.

Sounds familiar? ;-)))
Enjoy!
Joe

Great film, all those washers, sounds very familiar...LOl, nowthen... would love to see the coal-fired front loader all lit and smoking on a boil wash...!!!

Those childhood sketches are amazing and will be very familiar to many here.

enjoyed it, Mike

Flash Back!

Hahahaha Brilliant, love the bit towards the end, when the guy sits infront of the washing machine and watches the clothes go round reminds me of my self! Don't do so much now, though. I must dig out some pictures I drew when I was a kid. Primary school was fun for me, because our teachers would always make us write stories. You can guess what they were right? In secondary school, during Design & Technology lessons we'd always get free time, so I use to design Washing Machines...So the video took me back, to those moments.

Fantastic machine's I saw there, but why do the big machines always scare me? Thanks for sharing it with us Joe ;)

Hass.

That is a great collection, some nice machines were added after I saw the last pictures of this collection. And what a great interview!
