Attenion Wizardheads: A question for you...

Were these machines also sold under the Coronado nameplate? The agitator, tub and tub ring look very much like the Coronado machine neighbors had back in the early '60's.

Isn't this a cool ad? An aunt of mine in Fergus Falls, MN had a machine with this filter, but I don't remember much else. I'm sure it was a Wizard.

Franklin made laundry appliances for many different stores/brands, some of them were:

Wizard/Western Auto
Cornado/Gambles
Ambassador
AMC
Barton
Bradford
Constellation
COOP/Capri
Fedders
Firestone
Marquette
One Minute
Unico
White/Whitehouse
Zenith

Seems like Franklin (btw, were they the Webster City, IA washer company?) made for all of the "controlled" brands.

Ambassador--one of the department store groups (Allied?)
AMC--ditto (Associated)
(what about Duracrest--I think this was May Department Stores)
Bradford (Grants)
A couple others...
TempMaster (OTASCO)
Holiday (Lowes)

What were these other ones...curious if they were local distributors of some nature, Canadian or what?

Duracrest was a Leonard/Kelvinator rebadge

Jamiel,
I have a 1964 life magazine with an ad for Duracrest Washers and dryers and it is a copy of an early 60's Kelvinator/Leonard washer made by American Motors Corp.

Thanks for the info, Gansky; Several friends/neighbors had Coronado machines in the little town I grew up in, as we had a Gambles hardware store. I remember them being noisy and not as refined as, say a Maytag.
