Sad but true!

Here old retired military folks often have several pensions and play golf and grow bored with their "obsolete" 1960's or 1970's Ranch house's Kitchen or Laundry room.

Thus all the working appliances are scrapped; and 40K to 60K is spent on a new Kitchen.

Or they completely redo the houses roof from a 4/12 to 12/12 to make the place LOOK like a McMansion, with a useless attic full of new 2x4's.

A neighbors house is like this, the new 12/12 pitch attic has no storage; it is all a zillion braces every 2 feet for the new puffed up 12/12 roof pitch.

They have a 6 burner new stove but basically never cook.

it is all for show!

A super giant house across the water from me has a guest house for guests; with a 6 burner stove, 28 cubic foot stainless fridge, wine cooler and a 16/12 pitch too!
