Thanks for the info. The house also has a vintage intercom/in tube house radio that still works - just takes a few minutes to warm up. I'm in Columbia. | ||

if it's a spin tube
you can fix that leak like said above. if it's the motor seal leaking then you're pretty much out of luck as i have yet to find anyone with new seals around anywhere.
luckily mine was just leaking thru old gaskets and it now runs perfectly and doesn't leak. but if it's a spin tube and you get the leaks fix a bigger problem emerges! they don't clean well! i'm glad i got mine and i love it's "sunny yellow" color and it's novelty wash system and it's nostalgic as all get out but i would never be able to use it as a daily machine! it simply doesn't clean the dishes well! guess i'm spoiled on my kitchenaids and later model frigidaire dishmobile that i use everyday. | ||

Bummer to hear that it doesn't do a very good job cleaning dishes. I probably will not keep it in that case since I won't have room for 2 dishwashers. | ||
