My washer has started leaking oil or grease into the bowl ruining clothes. I cant find anything on removing the agitator online. it looks like the cap should unscrew but doesnt i wuz wondering if anybody has any idea on how to fix it. Please!!!!!

If this is a SQ TL machine, pull up on the bottom of the agitator to remove it. Had a 1986 SQ electronic Marathon that did this. Ruined 5 of my high-end white dress shirts, oil stains everywhere. Still quite unhappy about that. Looks like the shaft seal on the transmission may be worn. The fix is to either replace the seal, or replace the transmission. Both are somewhat involved.
