Ok, so my flatmate had 60 minute makeover on, and they replaced this poor woman's Miele with a silver CDA. *vomits*

I knew there was a reason I never watched this show, I thought the designers had at least half a brain cell between them though!

What a disgrace!

Matt

With designers it's not so much function as it is form. The CDA, in the designers mind just looked better.

Years ago Karen consulted with a interior designer to redo our den. His ideas seemed fine, until he mentioned that we would have to cover the small little red JBL logo on my stereo speakers. He said "just paint over it with black paint!". When I asked why he wanted to do that he just said "The red logo unbalances the room!". The logos are about 1" square on the front bottom of the speakers.

And we informed him that his services would not be needed thank you.

On one of those home improvement shows a woman comes in and looks at a nice kitchen. She almost passes out and gasps "Oh No! Corian countertops are SOOOO middle class!"

I was pondering this the other day. I suppose I can seek solace in that if anyone would dare put me on that show, they would save the washing machine and the rest of the appliances I bought! Or else!!!

Must be nice. I would have Corian countertops if I didn't live so far in the middle of nowhere.

Hell yes, I think Corian countertops are very nice and usually a good value for the money.
But maybe they are not so good for people who like to play the "keeping up with the Joneses" game or want to project a "certain image".

I wish I was middle class enough to afford Corian worktops!

If they wanted a stylish appliance why didn't they get a SMEG?! At least the outer tubs are still made in stainless steel on the upper range of the line!
Sure they will outlast all the current plastic tub machines!

Sounds like the sort of thing that the terminally taste challenged Colin and Justin might do!
