I have just got my latest John Lewis catalogue and they are selling washers/washer dryers/dryers and dishwashers badged with the John Lewis name. Does anyone know who makes there? I had as good a look as one can with a catalogue and they look like Whirlpool/Ariston/Zanussi hybrids with Bosch features and price tag. They look really smart units and when my Bosch dishwasher goes I would definately consider one of these. They also come with free 3 year guarantee as do almost all of the electrics at John Lewis, regardless of brand.

They are shown on the website too, I added a link to the washing machines. They look like Electrolux/Zanussi machines to me.

Yup, the washers/dryers are rebadged Zanussi's, and the dishwashers are made by AEG in Germany. Saw these a while ago when I was in Nottingham (where my local John Lewis is) and they are impressive machines and great value for money - if I was in the market for a mid-range washing machine I would definitely consider one of these.

Hope this helps,

Jon

Yep. Zanussi made!

.... and up until a few weeks ago I would have said they were the "Mutts nuts". BUT. (and maybe i got a monday manufactured one...) my Zanussi tumble dryer TOL is now waiting parts as follows.

Belt. Bearings. and sealant(not replacing the bits that are leaking in the condenser unit) oh yes! and the bulb went about a month ago and it is not covered by the warranty!

HAve to say with all that going wrong, i would expect a new one. unfortunately as the price was over 200.00 GBP, i can only have it fixed.

A sham!
