yeah I have tried that and it's NLA. I was kinda wondering if anyone here in the club might have one that they would be willing to sell to me. I am willing to pay shipping and handling.

Chris -

I hope Kenny's parts reveal something for you. The gold removable dispenser was not available very long, relatively speaking, and not used on many models.

To my knowledge, the gold dispensers were available in a couple 1972 and 1973 60-series standard cap machines, I believe one or two 1973 large cap machines, the 1974 60-series, the 1975 500, and the 1975 60 series standard machine, and that's about it. Prior to 1972 back to about 1968 these dispensers were bolt-on and not every-day removable as they doubled as agitator caps. The revised removable dispenser was changed to white for 1976. Most of the models above were good sellers, but that's not a huge time window when we are now 35 to 40 years later.

The gold straight vane agitator remained in that color until 1983, but I don't think any machines were marketed during that time with the SV and a dispenser.

If Kenny doesn't have anything, you might want to check with used appliance dealers who were around in the 90s or earlier, as many keep stock piles of parts like this and may not have disposed of the parts yet.

Again, good luck!

Gordon

there is always the option that you can buy a white fabric sofner dispenser and if you have some gold acrylic paint for plastic you can always paint the fabric softner dispenser gold because i think that during the 80 some inglis whirlpool washers use that particular dispenser model when they swtich to this agitator desing and you could always ask in appliance stores that sell parts to see if they have 1 avalable

Ok thanks guys, I have the white one already, I was just seeing if i could get a gold one to go with the gold penta vane agiator that i have.

Gordon,

Yeah, I remember that the washer my mom had, the 69 700 model was a bolt on soften dispenser.

Thanks for your info guys.
