She finally arrived and I quickly hooked her up. Added the olive oil and hot water as instructed here by my fellow members. No leaks so far, thank god. I'm truly amazed by the condition this jewel is in. The racks and tank are truly pristine. No rust!! Included are several photos, I will have questions to follow.

Beautiful!

Beautiful machine, alabamboy!

Question...where did you ever obtain such a gorgeous KDS-18?

If you have a chance - read my debacle of a deal in a previous posting.

Peace,

My questions...

Can someone pleeeeeease email me an Owner's Manual????
What's the difference between "Normal Wash" and "SaniWash"?
I understand what "Plate Warm" is for, but is it timed or does it just run until you stop it?(I haven't used this feature yet)
Any and all help appreciated--Tom

I used Searchtempest......

Found it in Aurora, Ill. for $20. Got a good price using Uship.com to get her here. Was originally used once a month in the kitchenette of a doctors office. When the doctors moved to a new location in 1983, there was already another dishwasher installed, so this puppy was stored in a dry basement. The doctor recently retired and was selling everything in the basement. In my excitement to purchase the machine, I didn't realize it was listed as $20 OBO!! I probably could have gotten it for $10!!!!!!

Normal Wash and Sani

Congratulations on such a Beautiful Machine. You truly have KA's Best Machine ever.

Sani Wash heats the last rinse to 180 degrees

Normal Wash maintains the Wash Temp around 140-150.

Soak and Scrub runs the pump on and off with water heating. This is a Unbelievable Cleaning Cycle that actually works well.

Just be Carefull in loading the Upper Rack. ALWAYS watch the top of the machine when sliding in the Upper Rack as to not Break Off the Constant Rinse Arm. They are quite fragile and replacements are Very Hard to Find.

I use my KDS 18 about once a week. It will clean anything you can throw at it.

What a Beauty !!! Eddie
