I wonder if the 140 Maytag's in the photo were part of the 10 million anniversary production run, sometime in the fall of 1956. Very cool ad.
While we know Maytag to be a conservative company, they sure did celebrate milestones by spending big money on dinners and ceremonies! I have a book from the 1949 dinner where, if I recall correctly, the 3rd millionth Maytag was celebrated. Ben | ||
