Is this the Frigidaire with the buttons across the front that Nate has told me to look for?

Not a Maytag. I'm no expert but I'm thinking either GM Frigidaire or D&M Wards/Signature.

Oh, seriously?

The unicouple on top and the kick panel skirt gives it away, people :-)  That's a Custom Imperial!

I sense a Nevada trip in the future :-)

Where'd she show up from, and what's she like, Drew?

or...

it looks like the Montgomery Wards version of a GM Frigidaire. The Custom Imperial had the deluxe door panels and the fancier unicouple, as well as a dark cherry wood top. I'm betting on a Wards clone..

The frontloading Maytag portable

had their coupler and electrical cord stowed away in the left upper rear, not on top of the work surface.

It's definitely a MW/Frigidaire, identical to my mother's first dishwasher. I can still hear the clicking sound of the timer advancing.
