Yesterday I reluctantly bought the Easy Spindrier that was on Craigslist. It looked to be in really good shape.I got it home and and checked it over well.I washed and spun 2 loads of clothes. It worked very well.No leaks and a very quiet machine. When I went to spin out the last few pieces of clothes it stopped spinning. It still works on the washer side.I checked the linkage to the transmission and all parts move freely.I guess this is an internal transmission problem? If someone has knowlege of this problem could you let me know.To bad, because the machine is in great cosmetic shape. No rust. The woman took good care of it.I have no knowledge of these machines and if it is a huge repair job I will cut my losses and haul it to its final resting place. The Dump.I need to stick with THE TRUE AND TESTED BENDIX.Thanks,John

Hi John,

Is the basket nestled in all the way. Sometimes it will raise up a little and won't spin because it's off the gear. Can you remove the basket ? If so, when the basket it out, engage the spinner and see if the gear is turning. Haven't had one stuck permanently, so this is all I've got. Hope it helps.

You hold onto that or I'll slap you! Just a little frigging around and your clothes will be SO much cleaner than in one of those OLD Bendix'ii!

I think a member here has a repair manual for that lets hit the club up!

YO ANYBODY HAVE A MANUAL ON THE EASY??

I haven't seen an Easy since grandma's in the 50s but I vaguely remember how they work. Both sides run off a central motor by belts to clutches (what the handles turn on and off). It would be pretty surprising for the clutch to completely quit from one cycle to the next. That leaves broken belt as most likely. Hope that's it, by far the simplest thing that can go wrong.
