At the laundromat that I frequent, there are 8, 1991 SQ toploaders, 4 of which have balancing problems. On these machines, the tub starts to move right after the water is pumped out and it trips the unbalanced sensor, however the load is never unbalanced. I've also noticed that on these machines the tub seems to be pushed to the back of the machine. I'm thinking that this is a problem with the springs? Any other ideas? It is one of those things that bothers me and I really want to figure out the reason for it.

Leveling or Springs

Sounds like the machines are not properly leveled or there are broken springs.
