Hello All, I'm new to the forum but I'm a first time Miele dishwashers owner, only got our new G5725 SCi XXL installed this week here in the UK. I have noticed when using any of the programs, there is steam (condensation) that forms during the "Drying" cycle in the area of the front display near the buttons and LCD screen. This is coming from the area behind the top and bottom of the CleanSteal fascia and we have no idea what is causing this...

Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this problem? This is more apparent when using the "Sensor wash" I have attached a photo.

Any ideas on how we can get this sorted would be really appreciated. Anyone know what is causing this or what we can do to stop it? I've seen that even the LCD screen also fogs up. I'm planing of contacting Miele about this but thought we would check with this forum first. Thanks for any advice...

I think you should contact Miele, never seen a dishwasher do anything as such, could be a prblem with it, it's new so a possible replacement could be offered or it could be fixed.

All the best

I have the freestanding version of this - never had a problem with steam escaping etc.  Have you made sure there isn't a fault in the seal or anything caught in it? When my sister first got her Bosch dishwasher we thought there was a leak as steam would seep out, but it turned out to be a bit of dirt on the seal causing a break and hence somewhere for the steam to escape.

Cheers,

Jon

Not encountered this......

We've not had this on our now 8 year old Miele dishwasher, so i'd guess it's down to abit of grit in the door seal or a fault somewhere round the rubber/door.

Have a quick look for anything obvious (you might've done already) & then phone Miele Customer Service. I'd imagine they'll be pretty quick at resolving it one way or another as it's not normal.

RE: Miele G5725 SCi XXL Dishwasher problem

Thanks for all who have replied already. I have checked the door seals while the machine was running and even at the drying stage. There is no condensation that I can see or feel around them.
