I just saw that ad today too.

Since that is in my neck of the woods I was thinking about going to look at it, but I've gotta wait til after an estate sale Saturday incase I get something there.

BTW what year(s) is this model from?

Looks like a KDI-21 or 22, but it has the large utensil basket like on a 23.  Can't tell from the sump area if it's got the Whirlpool (23 and later) or Hobart (22 and earlier) design, but the exterior is identical to the 21 and 22 series Imperials from late 80's and early 90's.

Worth every bit of $40.

Awww c'mon Sam, buy the dw & check out the estate sale.  If you wait too long, the dw might be gone, and then what will you do?  Look at it like buying an insurance policy.  "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it, and not have it."

At first glance I thought it looked like my KDI 21 but this is a newer model.   The control panel looks very similar but the upper rack design and silverware basket are different, and the heating element isn't down in the sump as in mine.

$40 bucks is a steal.  No kidding they're going to miss it....I would have just changed out the door panels if I was updating and was tired of the black color.
