I finally got the new timer installed in the '57 Unimatic. I advanced the timer to where it would agitate which it did for about 3 seconds. It then stopped and now it will only humm. It will neither agitate or spin. I tried to hand turn the fan and it is also frozen. I need some advice from the "unimatic experts" as to what problem I have and how I should approach the repair job. Thanks for the input.
Bob

Can you turn the tub by hand? If so, you may have to replace the motor start capacitor, and/or clean and adjust the motor start switch.
